Dictation mode: say the finding, your template fills itself in

In Raporio's dictation mode you only say the finding, not the whole report. What to say, how findings are placed and how voice editing commands work.

CHEST CT

Mediastinal structures and heart size are normal.

Both lungs are normally aerated.

No pleural effusion.

IMPRESSION: Normal chest CT.

Dictation mode is the heart of Raporio. Your normal report template is on screen; you only say the finding specific to this patient. Raporio transcribes your speech, finds the matching sentence in the template and puts your finding there in proper radiology language. All other normal sentences stay as they are.

What should you say?

Short, natural speech is enough. No need to build sentences, say punctuation or name sections. Raporio works out from the template which organ and section the finding belongs to.

What you say

left frontal 12 mm acute intraparenchymal haematoma with surrounding oedema

Sentence in the report

A 12 mm acute intraparenchymal haematoma with surrounding oedema is seen in the left frontal lobe.

If the impression should change too, say so in the same recording, for example "add left frontal acute haematoma to the impression". Raporio writes it into the impression.

Several findings at once

You can say several findings in one recording. Raporio puts each one in its own place in the template:

What you say

15 mm simple cyst in liver segment 7, 9 mm gallstone, rest normal

Left and right, segment numbers and measurements matter most. Say them clearly; Raporio highlights every changed sentence and you check them.

Voice editing commands

To change something after the report is ready, you do not need the keyboard. Talk as you would to an assistant:

  • "Remove the word nodule and write a 2 cm pulmonary nodule in the right lower lobe instead"
  • "Rewrite the last sentence"
  • "Expand the findings section"
  • "Use bullet points"

Commands are not written into the report; only the change you asked for is made.

Opening a template by voice

Turkish dictation can switch templates by voice: say "Diz MR şablonunu aç" (open the knee MRI template) at the start and Raporio loads it before placing the finding. In other languages you choose the template with a click for now. More on keyboard and device control in hands-free work.

Why it is less tiring

  • You do not repeat normal sentences in every report.
  • No punctuation or capitalisation to dictate.
  • You only check the sentence that changed (highlighting changes).
  • Your own wording is applied to every report by the rules engine.

Frequently asked questions

How should I say the finding?

Speak naturally. Say the organ, side and size clearly; there is no need to form sentences or dictate punctuation.

How do I get a normal report?

Your template already is the normal report. With no finding, simply copy it as it is.

Are voice commands written into the report?

No. Commands only make the change you ask for; they are not added to the report text.

Try it with your own template

Say your findings and Raporio fills in your template. Nothing to install, it runs in the browser.
